2nd Annual Community Connections and Commitments: Aligning Profits and Purpose

  • AARP Innovation Center (map)

DC Startup Week 2019

Purpose isn’t a trend, it’s the new norm for consumers who need a reason to like and champion your organization. Operating at the nexus of social impact, philanthropy and business, The Community Connections & Commitment Forum gathers purpose driven founders, corporate social responsibility experts and nonprofit leaders for a three-part session designed to catalyze cross-sector partnerships and drive social progress.
Produced by Serve DC, The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism & Partnerships, the forum returns for its second year to spotlight best practices from leaders like Busboys & Poets Founder & CEO, Andy Shallal and discuss ways to commit more meaningfully to communities locally and globally with executives at AT&T. This networking event is perfect for entrepreneurs, business leaders, practitioners, students or anyone looking to build lasting and purposeful connections.

9:30am: Session One
Access to local and global founders as they share their journey to designing purpose driven business models.

10:45am: Session Two:
